Hello,
My name is Jim and my modeling interests are presently in building a couple of F1 cars. I live in Massachusetts, USA but am right on the state line and could throw a ball into New Hampshire! Any thoughts on which particular forum sections might be good choices for F1 specific would be much appreciated.
I look forward to sharing my builds and exchanging techniques and ideas with everyone.
Cheers! Jim

Hello Jim, and welcome to TMM! We're glad you've joined us. We are a nice, drama free group here. I hope you will post what you are working on as well as older models that you have. I'm glad we have another F1 fan here. I just started a box-stock F1 model last night and I am currently amassing parts for another very detailed 1:12 F1 model.
To answer your question about F1, you can post your work-in-progress models in the "In Progress" section at the bottom of the "Cars" board. You can post any completed F1 models in the "Racing" section of the "Cars" board.
Hope you enjoy it here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!

thank you John. I am looking forward to posting my builds. Part of my inspiration actually comes from your Lotus JPS MK III which is very, very impressive. In fact I may have a question or two for you. I am working on a complete restoration of that exact model from one I built thirty (that's right!) years ago which was about 90% complete and sat in its box throughout most of my adult life. Recently I decided to take only a few body panels off and put some details on the engine but then found myself disassembling the entire model because I was such a rookie thirty years ago. Now I was only missing the sprues but it gave me the opportunity to do it again right. I also have a Tamiya McLaren MP4/6 in the garage awaiting various details.
I'll start a new thread in a few days.
again, thank you for the nice welcome. Jim

Thanks for the kind words, Jim! I am a bit of a hack but I do my best. I will be more than happy to try to answer any questions you may have on your Lotus JPS restoration. The MP4/6 has a ton of aftermarket items available for it. There are some beautiful items out there.

Jim?? Are you out there? Did you delete your profile? Did it somehow get deleted by mistake? Not sure what happened but all of your posts in the JPS restoration thread are gone. I hope it is just some sort of goof up. I was looking forward to seeing your work.

What happened? I was really enjoying watching the developments of the JPS car.
