August 2016 Model of the Month

I know I'm a little late with this.  I hope we have a good turnout this month.

To continue with the "Model Contest" theme, for August we will have Street Rods, 1948 and older. If you have one, post it here. As always, up to 4 pictures. Tell us about your model, what kit did you use, modifications and so on.  Do not enter a previous Model of the Month winner.

In 1960, when I was thirteen years old, my dad brought me an AMT 1932 Ford Model B roadster kit. Then like most youngsters of that time, I slapped it together as quickly as I could and made somewhat of a mess of it. Forty-four years later I was able to acquire another of these classic kits. My first thought was to build it with all the aftermarket parts and detail items which were available in 2004. However upon second thought, I decided to build it again in the same configuration as I had in 1960, a tribute to my dad and to the designs of a thirteen year old boy. My pre-1948 street rod is a totally box stock AMT 1932 Ford Model B roadster.

This is an older build of mine that is no more.Grandson got to it a couple years back and thought it was a big Hot Wheel.

My entry is just an old glue bomb I dusted off for this, remember I built this nearly 30 years ago and I'm not very good....
