Hello TMM members. I am asking for your input on the future of this forum. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in taking over the admin of this forum? If you would be interested you can post a reply here or shoot me a private message.
I have spoken with Bobby Boggs, the creator of this forum. I've asked him if he wanted to take it back and run it and he does not. I took it over out of loyalty to him and to this forum. This forum is the first forum I had ever joined. I hate to see it go away but I fear the writing is on the wall. Back in July I asked for member input on how to make this forum better and/or get more participation and only got a few responses. I have asked for input on several topics and received little to no input. I can only assume that no one is reading the forum or that the ones reading just don't care. I am not the most creative or imaginative person to run a forum, that is why I ask for ideas, input and suggestions. My guess is Facebook has a lot to do with the dwindling participation on this forum.
So here it is. If I don't get any input or offers to help by the end of the year, I will most likely step away from the forum. I will hold the Model of the Year contest and I will post the Model of the Year winner at the top of the forum. I will no longer continue the Model of the Month contest and will remove that picture from the header. (I thank the few members who actively enter a model. We only have those few members who participate and also vote). The forum will basically go into suspended animation. You can still post and you can still see old posts. I doubt that I will accept any new members. That is still up in the air. I am very disappointed with the recent new members. Nearly all of them have ignored the rule of posting an introductory post. I have not deleted them, as the forum rules clearly state will happen. Oh well, that is on me. With no new members and with only a couple of older members posting, I feel it is better to suspend activities and concentrate my efforts elsewhere.
I am truly open to any ideas. Maybe I am not doing something that should be done. This is not a "woe is me" deal. I want nothing more than to have this forum active.
Thank you.
