Folks, as of today, June 30th, 2017, it appears that Photobucket has broken all image links on their free accounts. As far as I can tell, they want you to pay $399.00 a year for that service. I have looked at the forum and see many, many missing pictures. I used Photobucket for many of the Model of the Month pictures. Although I have not looked, I figure they are gone.
Just a heads-up guys and gals. Good luck with this.

I just tried to access my Photobucket and can't even view my own pics. All I get is bombarded with ads.
Is there any way you can link to Facebook?

Eddie and everyone else, I just took a look over at ProBoards support. ProBoards is what this forum runs on. There is a large thread, (that is growing by the hour), about this Photobucket debacle. Sorry guys, I am not a tech geek, (no disrespect meant), nor do I want to be. I took over this board out of loyalty to it and to its creator, my friend, Bobby Boggs. Anyhow, the only solutions that everyone seems to agree on is to pay the ransom to Photobucket or to find another image hosting site. I have always used Fotki. I believe I pay $10 a year for ten years. To your question, Eddie, I don't know but I doubt it. It is my belief, (see my other threads about the future of this forum), that Facebook was killing off forums like this. This Photobucket debacle may be one of the final nails in the coffin. |

That's extremely frustrating as this is the only forum I post on and I'm not all that big on Facebook. Is Fotki likely to stay at $10 per year as that may be our only option?
Are you still in touch with Bobby, if so how is he?

And what's weird is some people's accounts ain't been bothered as of yet. I've still got all my pics on the forums and can still post pics from photobucket. And I'm on the free account. I guess if it does I'll be done posting on forums cause I ain't paying money to host pics when I can do directly from my phone to fb. Rather not do it on there but if that's my only choice guess I will.

Well, guys, Photobucket just got around to me yesterday. My avatar is gone. The Model of the Year is gone. Pictures in some of my threads are gone. I will fix my avatar and I will fix the Model of the Year picture at the top of the forum.
For me, it is not so much what Photobucket has done, it is how they have done it. I can only hope they reap the rewards for what they have done.

I got my avatar back up as well as the Model of the Month picture. I originally used Photobucket but switched to Fotki a number of years ago. I have started moving photos from PB to my computer. Once on my computer, I will then move them to Fotki. What a PITA.
