Where is everybody? Where has everyone gone to? Is this forum dying? Did I join up just to find nothing here, but crickets? With Covid-19 keeping many people at home, I would have expected to find some activity on this board, but this place seems to be a virtual ghost town. Come on people, where is everyone?

I don't know about he others, but I am having to work. We also have an expanded workload, as some of our facilities are closed. We have to pick up the work from those facilities plus continue to handle our own workload. This situation leaves little time for hobbies.

I would have expected SOME sort of response after a week, but there has been nothing going on since. Nothing, zip, zero, nada! This forum isn't dying, it's dead! I can't find any reason why I should remain here.

Mrmike, I hear you and I will apologize for my lack of participation in the last week or two. I work in a VA hospital, “serving those who served”...man I love that motto! Anyhow, it is busier for me at work with the whole virus situation. My wife started a new job and has new later work hours which makes me the head chef. I get a few hours of bench time in the evening. On top of this, my Fotki app on my phone crapped out so I can’t get my pics off my phone over to Fotki. All of this makes it a little harder to hop on the internet and visit my favorite sites.
But more to the point, yes, this forum is barely limping along. Go back and read some of my posts from awhile back. I practically begged people to participate, to give me ideas on what to do to make the board better. Just for the record, I tried to keep the board going after the creator of the board pulled out. I believe wholeheartedly that FB killed this and many other small boards. Couple that with the Photobucket debacle and you have the perfect storm. I myself belong to numerous FB groups, I get it. The thing about a small forum like this is topics/threads don’t get buried in a day or two. I find that the responses and build threads are more thought out and detailed than anything you’ll find on FB.
I realize you are new and obviously disappointed. Welcome to the club. I can only suggest you check in when you can, post what you are working on and comment on other’s work. Invite your friends to come on over.
I hope you stick around but I understand if you don’t.

I just thought there would be more action here. When I checked out this forum. I didn't notice the dates on the topics. I should have and now I am starting to realize the maybe I made a bad decision signing up to come here. I had heard about this forum for sometime from others who I can only presume to be members here. I am not going to point any fingers to any person or reasons why things are as they seem. All I know is that this forum is dying and on life support.

Mrmike, I’m not sure how joining TMM is a bad decision. In its heyday it was never as busy as MCM and I doubt it ever will be. Joining didn’t cost you anything but a minute or two of your time. You have repeatedly stated that TMM is dying or dead. Unfortunately, through no one’s fault, that is a reality. All any forum needs is a few members to participate and share some content. Again, it is hard to compete with FB. When people only have so many minutes or hours to spend on a model board it is hard to beat FB.
I will once again say that I hope you stick around and share what you are working on. Who knows, maybe you will be the spark that gets TMM going again. However, if you decide to never post here again, I will thank you now for what you have done and for stopping by. I’ll still see you over on MCM.
Cheers.

John, it is going to take more than me and you to keep this forum going. I really don't want to be the only person displaying my builds here if you are the only one who would comment on it. There has to be more. I wasn't expecting a busy forum like MCM, but something more than what we have here now. I thought there was more activity here and I was wrong. I don't really understand why if a forum like this is as popular as others say it is, then why the lack of activity? Maybe I can help bring in new viewers or bring back old members, I don't know.
I will stick around until the end of the month and then I will consider whether to stick around or leave.
I can't help but to feel like a rat on a sinking ship...

Fair enough. When I joined, this place had a nice steady stream of posts. Lots of in-progress work being displayed. Shoot, I think my Lotus John Player Special F1 car has over 10,000 hits. There are other builds that have well over 1K. I suppose those were the glory days.
I'll keep popping in here. I don't know much about ProBoards but I don't think this board will really ever go away. I think it can always be accessed. There is a lot of good information here and it isn't too hard to find. Before I state my next thought let me be very clear, this is not aimed at you, it is just about me. I will keep posting things here even if I never get another comment. I will do it because I know others come and look, (just look at the stats at the bottom of the forum, we can have as many as 100 visitors a day), and maybe I will have something that helps or inspires them.
I guess we have beaten the horse well past what needed to be...lol.
