Honda Trail 70

My latest. Replica of the real one I had as a kid. The green is a Testors one shot lacquer. Rest is from Vallejo and Tamiya. My first motorcycle build, had a blast with it and very pleases with the outcome. I do want to go back and redo the buttons around the seat. That’s what I get for thinking I could do it without my reading glasses. For the most part, it went together very well. I did struggle with the tires. They are not even, and the lugs do not line up. I swapped halves, and realigned for an hour or so to get the least horrible position. Not sure how much is due to my lack of skills, and how much is the mfg / packaging process. But I do not plan on this being my last bike. I also added some clear adhesive/window maker over the speedo glue. It was still cloudy when I took the pics, but does seem to be drying and clearing up. If not, will look into replacing.

Thats what I was thinking. I remember years ago a friend had one of these and a Honda 50. We'd ride them around their farm. The 50s muffler was messed up, we called it the "burp machine" Ahh, great memories! Very nice build!

Thanks yall! Really, really enjoyed this build. Turned into one of those that is just flat out fun. Biggest complaint was with the tires. Fittment of the halves was HORRIBLE! Took a lot of time, glue, and very creative clamping to even get them close.
