The conversion was started when I bought it. If I remember the AMT 66 correctly, it had a crude engine compartment with a short radiator wall, maybe even those round tubelike structures as part of that wall, where the screws were to go originally. Cant say for sure, that part was cut out, and the 67 engine compartment was cut to fit (more or less) So I would have to say no, because the engine compartment area is all that needs careful cutting and test fitting. The chassis has the same demensions (width, length, and even wheelbase) The old bumper attachment points have to be sawed off also. Its a little easier than adapting a Revell 65 Chevelle Z16 chassis to an AMT 65 El Camino. (Slightly less cutting)
