First, to all of the long time members here at TMM, I want to apologize for my very limited participation in the last year. For the newer members, my name is Alex. I'm supposed to be helping Bobby maintain this board here which I must admit I haven't been able to do lately. I've decided to jump back into the hobby no matter what. Although I've been very busy the last year, I made up my mind to make time for building. My first project is a '69 GTX by AMT. It will be an all out custom with opening doors, hood, a custom interior and who knows what else. I'm glad to be building again and glad to be back with the TMM family. Alex.

Glad to be back guys. I've already opened the doors and trunk. I picked out wheels and I added rear tubs. The rear suspension is next. I'll get some pics up asap.
Alex.

Alex are those rims from a diecast kit? Yeah, I got them of Ebay. Not sure what kit they came from. I bought 3 different sets. Alex.

The dark metallic charcoal gray that you see on the chassis with black to match the black rims. Dark and sinister.
Alex.

Alex The GTX is looking pretty mean.It reminds me of "The Hammer".Is that the look your going for? Jeremy No, I can't say that it is as I am not familiar with "The Hammer". To be honest, I had the wheels and I needed a body big enough for them. I had three kits to choose from that would work and the GTX kit won out. Since the wheels were black I felt that the car should have similar dark colors. I'd like to see this "Hammer" though. Alex.

A little test fitting for the soon to be coil over shocks. I need to add brake lines and complete the coilovers, then the rear end will be pretty much complete. Alex.

Alex Have you ever watched Fast & The Furious 3 Tokyo Drift? The Hammer is the car that Vin Diesel drives at the end of the movie. Jeremy I did a search for the FnF Hammer and found it. I saw it on Rides a couple of years ago. Nice, reeaall nice. Similar to what I had in mind. Of course I was thinking of a V10 instead of a 500ci wedge, among other things. Alex.

I've completed the coilover shocks and attached them to the rear end. The test fit to the chassis seems to be fine. I also added the brake lines. Alex.

Nice work on the hood Alex. You need to cast that in resin and sell them.

Nice work on the hood Alex. You need to cast that in resin and sell them. I thought about that Bobby. I'm not always pleased with the ones offered and I always make my own anyway. I need to learn a little about casting. Alex.

It's been a while since I've updated this one. I've been very busy. I'm working on the engine now. I have to complete it so I can design the new engine compartment around it. So far I have installed the lines to the injectors, (I think that's what they are) and added "GTX V10" to the valve covers after smoothing them and removing the Viper logo. Alex.
