Are you going to go with the stock tailights, headlights and grille assembly? Headlights i would try for the later model clear lens style headlights. Like an HID light or a Zoops conversion headlight. Maybe a different lense treatment in the stock taillight housing? I dunno, just ideas.

I am going to use the stock grill and headlight assembly but I plan to cut out the headlights as they are just molded to the grill and chromed. I'm replacing them with clear lenses. I actually like the stock rear tail lights. I may modify them a little. The whole idea is to give it modern touches but make them very subtle as if this body was designed much later than it was. Alex.

I used some clear red tabs used for file folders and made larger lenses to fit just inside the perimeter of the bezels. On the first pic you can see the new lense on the left and the stock lense on the right. I like the new look. Alex.

The body is finally ready for paint and now I'm not sure how to paint it. I had a color combination in mind, but the more I think about it the less I like it. I saw a nice paint job on a 1:1 car the other day that gave me some ideas but I'm still not sure. Looks like I'm going to have to find a '69 mule body to experiment with. Anybody got one that they can part with. I really want to be sure before I paint it as I've put in an awful lot of work on this one. I just gotta be sure. In the meantime I'll start again on the interior. I'm waiting on some photoetched parts for the dash and then it's on.
Alex.

I haven't done much on this build lately. I'm stuck on the paint and I have been waiting on some photo etch stuff to arrive for the interior. I did redo the headlight on the grill. This kit cam with molded headlights which are not realistic. I cut out the molded headlights and used some old headlight buckets from the parts box that I cut to fit where the originals were. I'll use a little BMF to cover the white spots and I'll use clear lenses from the parts box. Alex.

It's been a while since I posted on this build. I've been working on my Wagon Contest build. I had to repair the front windshield post and do some body repair as I accidentally dropped it. All is well now. I got it all repaired and even came up with a paint scheme. here's a hint. Alex.

I'm getting more progress done on this one and plan to be doing a lot more work on it for the next week and a half. I want to finish it for the Lone star NNL that will be taking place on Nov. 1, In Irving TX. Thanks for letting me know about the Lone Star NNL Bobby. Everyone in my family is excited to go especially me wife. Which surprises me. I'm excited too. I'll be taking about eight builds. Wish me luck.
Alex.

I got a little more progress done. I've been working on the trunk area for the last few days. I keep coming up with ideas but now I'm running out of time since I have to be finished for the Lone Star NNL on Saturday Nov. 1. Hope I can get it done. Alex.
