Ya I know its early but as Gary posted on his Fotki site we need to get more people involved in this. So if you think you can handle it start planning now. With what has happened the past two years the Brolin Rule" has been created. All bodies have to be painted. You can check out Garys Fotki site here:
public.fotki.com/gkulchock/3rd-annual-24-hour-/
So clear your schedules for Jan 17-18 2009.

You can count on me being there. I had fun talking, building, and watching movies. To those who have thought about getting in on this, it is a lot of fun!! This was my first time and next year I will pick a kit with a few less decals and hopefully finish in the 24 hours, as I am STILL putting them on this one.

Less than 8 months to go. Has anyone picked thier kit out yet? I think I may have. I am considering building the 70 1/2 Baldwin Motion Camaro. Add to this the Model Car Garage photo-etch and the Fred Cady decals. This will be a very strange ground for me.So how many modelers out there are up for this years build? Come on guys. As Bluto said in the movie Animal House, "It don't cost nuttin".

humm, i might have to think about this!! i would imagine a person would want to pick out a simple kit to build huh??? Simple? I try to build a kit I can just finish at the 24 hour mark. We have done this 2 years running, and I've come close both times, but have gone over the 24 hours. Do it by yourself or better yet, get some buddies together at a central location and join in. You won't be disappointed. With everyone staying connected through sites like Fotki and Photo-bucket, It's a lot of fun.See you in January!Check out our last 2 events at: public.fotki.com/gkulchock/

Can we do it by ourslefs at our House. Or do we need to meet somewere? If so id be Interested. You sure can do it by yourself. Here is how you, or anyone else can join in on this build.(A) Clear your schedule for the hours between noon on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 and noon on Sunday Jan. 18, 2009 (That's eastern standard time) (B) I need to know the builders name and build subject, so I can compile a list for all to see of just who's in on this. (C) Let me know the address of a site you can post photos to during your build so we can all see your progress, and of course, you will have the address of everyone elses sites so you can observe their progress. (D) Have fun, this is not a contest. We just want to promote model building for the entire world during these hours. Would that be cool! If you think you have it in you to join in, let me know. Thanks.

I'd love to do this if I can get my wife and kids out of the house. LOLOL It's a great time and better than any model show or contest I've ever been to. Just over 6 months away now guys. Remember John, the "Brolen rule" is in effect this year. I've also got my hands on a couple more car movies we havn't seen yet. One is on '70's rally cars. It's great seeing the Lancia Stratos and 037 running balls out.

Sounds funny to build a model in 24 hours but how about me for example, I living in Europe and when the contest start I lying on one ear and dreaming about funny stuff ?
Maybe a idea, I start a build here on the forum and finished it in 24 hour then there is no big time difference?
