I'm still in guys. Been having a tough time lately. I'm hoping this will make everything a little better. Miss you guys. I'm building a Revell 1962 Impala SS in honor of my Dad. I'm not sure on the style of the build, but whether it'll have a motor or not depends on what I decide to do with it. See everyone soon.

Not sure if I'm going to make it this year. The Wife wanted to put me in the hospital this past weekend. I was having heart problems again. And couldn't breath.

Sounds like you guys have a great time. You are lucky to be able to get together for the build. How do the builds turn out compared to a build that you spend more time on ?

I also build airplanes, armor and in different scales ....so it might take me awhile since I am beginning to start resin models of cars that have nevah been produced......
Yall have a very happy year yall...... Da Zebster

[glow=red,2,300]24 Days till the start of the 24 Hour Build.[/glow] Here is how you can join in on this build. Get some friends together to build some models, start to finish, in a 24 hour period. (A) Clear your schedule for the hours between noon on Saturday, Jan. 29, and noon on Sunday Jan. 30 (That's eastern standard time) (B) I need to know the builders name and build subject, so I can compile a list for all to see of just who's in on this. (C) Let me know the address of a site you can post photos to during your build so we can all see your progress. (D) Have fun, this is not a contest. So ....... watch my Fotki site starting Saturday Jan. 29, starting about 11:30 AM for pre-build photos. Photos will be added during the following 24+ hours to show the progress (or lack of progress) up untill the final results on Sunday. public.fotki.com/gkulchock/5th-annual-24-hour--1/Everyones build site will be connected to this one address! Please send in your comments during the build, (or whenever) to show your support of the build. We want to promote this as a national event, everyone building at once, so who's up for it?

Alright let me toss my hat into this ring of insanity. I had been debating on what Impala I was going to do, but I see Shinnston guys have that area pretty well covered. Seeing the Morgantown crews projects I've determined I needed to dig into the stash and find some serious American iron to give all them Chevys a run for their money. (Might I add that I have 2 of the sister '66 GT/GT-A kits from '92 and neither of them are the FLASH MONSTER this kit is...mold cleaning failure on AMT in 1993) Now the interesting part comes in...this weekend I am leaving to go back to work, and while it might have been fun to try to weasel my into joining someone in WV for this, I would also be treading dangerously on the same home-time from driving that I would be celebrating my wife's Birthday. So in the hopes that *I* see my next birthday I will have to attempt this one on the road. For extra style and difficulty points while operating this... The gag here is going to be where the heck exactly I am on Saturday morning. Obviously I have to paint outside, and that's not that much of an issue, so long as I'm not in Minnesota or something. The only possible way for this to work for me is to be able to get up early enough to drive far enough by Noon on Saturday that I can set-up somewhere for a couple of hours and get the primer & paint on all the big pieces and let them gas out some while I eat lunch and put the first coat on everything "hand painted". So I can hang the body and chassis up to dry further all while trying to not have an avalanche of wet paint fall over a moving truck while traversing whatever destitute stretch of Interstate I happen to be covering. Abject FAIL, or 24 Hour Build to the X-TREME! Tune in, in 3 weeks and find out!! ;D

I pulled the past two years of paystubs and I was in Louisiana transiting to Florida, and Georgia transiting to NC in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Let's hope for like loads to appease the over 50 degree painting requirement.
