Painted 2 chassis as I'm not sure yet if I'm using the stock or a prostreet chassis so I got them both ready. But I've had grandkids here most of the day and I need a rest.

Just checking in, started a Rev/Mon 83 Caprice. I posted a pic on the Facebook page Most major assemblies painted at this point and the chassis and interior mostly done. Tricky part will be getting the body done to a decent standard between now and noon Sunday! I'll repost back here when I take pics.

This is where I finished at last night. I just placed what I had done together, body and chassis aren't permanent yet. I've been wavering between just making it a stock Caprice in yellow or a Taxi but you look at the photos it just screams Taxi! Time to look in the stash and see if I have the parts I remember or not. I'm not getting this one done in 24 hours, but will get back after it and try to finish sometime this week, lol!

HOBBY ITEMS DOWN!!! It is Noon! Time's up!! Yeah I got nothing done ;D My planned "hard-core" modeling session was interrupted by the fact I drove 700 miles and fell asleep. I did do more this morning, and so my model stands as this... Everything in the photo has been touched up so there aren't "sprue" marks anymore. Guess I'll move this over to the WIP section...gonna be nice weather out in Oregon when I get there, so I'm aiming for a 124 hour build...

Here is update from my house. Jeremey finished his build and started another on. Travis finished his. Travis got sleepy and went home around 1:30am. Jeremey hung in there until 6am. Brian and I stayed at it until around 11:45am. We didnt finish but we sure had fun. Here are all the pics. public.fotki.com/NCWVSM/bobby-boggs/2011-24hr-build/

Well, we made it. The build was a huge success and nearly everyone from the home Morgantown crew finished. Here's a taste of the finished models. George's 1927 Bugatti Type 35B John's Fujimi GT40 Jeff Christopher's Fujimi Datsun 240Z Chip Wamsley's Fisher Ferrari 365 P2 White Elephant and my (Gary Kulchock's) 911 Brumos Porsche Thanks for tuning in during the build and commenting on our lack of progress. The date for next years build will be established in the next couple days and I hope more of you will give this a try. Later .....

Finally got the chance to go through most of the photo albums. Some really nice stuff got done! As I sullenly look at this engine block. Oh well after complaining it was too cold to paint for 24 hours, I sent all that cold air east...enjoy your ice storm ;D
