For ease you could just stick with the vortec v-6 and put a cold air intake or something on it and cool exhaust like a real one might have ?
Or squeeeezee a small block into it.

funny thing, i started an s-10 project for a list build as a GT super stocker....based on the same kit.....and im dropping a small block in that one....it isn't that bad so far.....i just need to find or make a 4-link setup for it....oh well.....the blazer will be on it's way to my place as of tuesday....bobby, how would you want to get this thing? think there may be a show you and i both will attend that i can deliver it, i would rather not do it by mail....adam

"The Blazer Has Left The Building!" LOL! Got it sent out to Adam this morning. The interior is inside the body shell, but I didn't glue it in place, in case you need to modify the firewall for whatever engine you decide! Good luck!

We can figure out something Adam. It's not that far of a drive to your house to get it. If there is a show up that way let me know and we can meet up there.
Also I need all pics from everyone involved. I want to print them out and put them in a photo album to display with the model. So if you have pics please e-mail them to me. I cant wait to see this killer build in person.

just to let you guys know, i received the model today from tommy, it was packed VERY well, so i got it in good shape and nothing broken off.....so it's MY TURN....lol....but i do have to say, as soon as i pulled it out i got a rash.....a chevy in mopar colors ALWAYS does that to me....LMAO

after looking thru all of the parts and what-not, i found something missing.....the transfer case halves.....does anyone have these??? i know i don't have ANYTHING like that in my parts stash.....HELP!!!!!!!

well i have already started working on it....fixed up the spare tire/wheel mounting assembly.....already got the small block picked out.....figured i would go with a 400 in SBC (not like it makes any difference what CI it is...LOL) and making it with stock exhaust manifolds with a solder exhaust mixed with some aluminum tips and some plastic mufflers.....this thing is pretty cool, i must admit....you guys before me have done an EXCELLENT job on this thing....makes my job that much harder to finish it.....hell even the wife thought it looked cool....im just glad to be a part of the build.....adam

Is the t case in the kit missing?
Or do you need a beefier t-case?
I have a few 84 gmc kits I could rob one from.
I don't think I made drivelines,but I did mock up with a t-case and motor in the truck to set pinion angle.
Let me know, and I will get something in the mail unless someone close has one?

Just let me know whats going on. yeah i have an update.....and a delivery date.......update is as follows....im having some trouble making some driveshafts for it (because of pinion angle was set on a certain t-case, and im using a different one.....plus this summer has had me WAY busy and i DO apologize to everyone else on the build for taking so long).....but i figured since we are both planning on the w. middlesex show in sept that would give me time to finish the truck and make for a better reveal, since it will be in the show......as a team build....and all awards (if any, but this thing is NICE) would go to you (Bobby) for display, anyone opposed? LMK AB |
